As you know, I recently was victim to a nasty hit and run accident. Being one of many suffering from hard economic times in our country, I had placed my car in storage from late January 2009 till late April 2009 as I was out of work earlier this year. I drove to church on the morning of Sunday May 2, being only a few days after I started driving again. After church, I went to my Grandmother's home to help her with some things around the house. I was on the way back to my home around 12 noon when the unexpected happened. I was sitting at a stop light in my new Honda Civic when some model citizen driving a beat up old Chevy Tahoe came up behind me and rammed into the back of my car. During the week after the accident, I had 3 insurance companies trying to get statements from me, I had started treatment with a local Chiropractor for shoulder dislocation and whiplash trauma, and I had $4,000 worth of damage to my car. I felt like I was losing my mind, my sanity was at stake, and the insurance companies were not looking out for my best interest.
